Nowadays, lots of white collar workers drive cars to work, but have you ever seen a road sweeper drive a car to clean the road? Most people would say no.


However, recently an old sweeper, who is nearly 60 years old, has been working using his own car every day in Shenyang. And the sight of him working not only become a special "picture" in the city, but also become a hot topic discussed on the Internet.


The 59-year-old sweeper, named Zhang Tiande, has been claimed as the "most brilliant" sweeper on the Internet. Every morning, he would drive his own car to work at 6: 30, change into his work uniform, and then clean the road. At 10 o'clock, when he finishes his 400-meter cleaning work, he will change clothes and drive back home.


Zhang said he started to do sanitation work in 1975 and he loves this job very deeply. After work units adopted competitive selection for posts, he put forward his initiative when he applied to be a sweeper. And finally he started his new work in 2008.


He said the income of him and his wife is more than 7,000 yuan per month. Because the cost of daily life is not much and their children are all economically independent, it was not hard for the old couple to make the decision of buying a car. Zhang said a month ago he bought this car with 80,000 yuan, and the cost for gas is about 500 yuan per month. Although Zhang spent a lot of money, they did not feel much pressure.
