求助AAMI保险问题

上周四刚刚买了AAMI公司的全险，昨晚开车等红绿灯时被后面的车子追尾，撞得蛮严重的，保险杠全坏，后备箱也盖不上了。但是对方的车子没事。我担心肇事车主因为自己车子没事不去claim，所以联系了AAMI保险公司。现在有些问题想请问大家：

1. 我是车主，昨万追尾的时候是朋友开车。想问下，如果肇事司机想逃脱责任不认赔，我需要先垫付EXCESSES费吗?

2. 因为我是未满25岁，所以买保险时，用朋友的驾证做main driver 第一驾驶，我是第二驾驶。现在保险公司需要第一驾驶和他们联系，是不是之后索赔都必须第一驾驶来参与这件事情？必须通过第一驾驶和AAMI联系？

3. 车子其实是我主要开，第一驾驶写朋友名字这样保险费比较低。如果我开车出现事故，会对第一驾驶有任何影响吗？比如过错在我，造成人员伤亡什么的，会不会第一驾驶也要负责？听朋友说可能一起被起诉？或者影响第一驾驶人日后自己买车辆保险？

4. 如果处理完这件追尾事故后（责任不在我），可以要求AAMI变更第一驾驶人吗？

Just a couple of quick answers in regards to your concerns:

No, you don't have to pay the excess fee as long as you can provide name and contact details of the driver who was at fault. The case then will become the business between AAMI and the other guy.

Insurance companies are very sensitive about this. Both you and your friend may need to explain why you are the second driver of your own car. For this particular case you are not at fault, and the loss could be recovered from the other party,  therefore the insurance company wouldn't normally spend too much effort varifying the details, HOWEVER, since your friend is the first driver on the policy, which means this policy is actually under his name, he will be fully liable to this policy. That means, if you have an at fault claim in the future, his insurance rating will drop with it.

It is a serious offence to declear fault information to insurance companies. They can reject your claim or even cancel your policy if they find out about it.  If you have an accident on the road, without insurance company protecting you, you are fully liable for the property damage yourself, not your friend. If the accident involves driving offence and someone is killed, you may also face criminal charges.  Nothing to do with your friend.

4. 如果处理完这件追尾事故后（责任不在我），可以要求AAMI变更第一驾驶人吗？

Yes you can, just speak with them ove the phone and inform them that you have now become the first driver in the policy. You may have to cancel the existing policy and take out a new one.
