Two more teenagers, including a 14-year-old girl, have been charged over the alleged bashing of a McDonald’s security guard on the Gold Coast at the weekend.

The 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were last night charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company.

Two male teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were charged over the incident on Monday.

It is understood the group of teenagers were asked to move on by the security guard at the Palm Beach McDonald’s outlet about 2.50am on Sunday.

But the group allegedly turned on him, with one teen accused of grabbing the security guard’s torch and beating him over the head with it.

A second guard then intervened and the teens ran off.

The first guard was taken to Gold Coast Hospital with concussion, but has since been cleared and released. The second guard suffered a broken finger in the brawl.

The 17-year-old man faced court yesterday where his case was adjourned, while his alleged accomplices will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
