DANGEROUS weather conditions may be threatening large parts of Australia, but southeast Queensland is enjoying perfect summer days.
And much to the delight of Jade Meakin, 21, from Boondall in Brisbane's north – who was soaking up the 31C sunshine in Fortitude Valley yesterday – the fine weather is expected to continue until the weekend.
The weather bureau has forecast more sunshine, light to moderate southeast to northeast winds and a top of 31C for southeast Queensland today.
It says the Sunshine and Gold Coasts can expect similar conditions with mostly fine weather and a top of 30C.

But in the state's central west and southwest, flood warnings remain in force.
Moderate to major flooding is forecast to continue throughout the week, including the Thomson River between Longreach and Jundah.
Major flooding of the Barcoo River between Isisford and Retreat is also expected for several days, with the level slowly falling from its peak of 8.5m.
Access to Windorah is expected to be cut off until at least the middle of next week, with the nearby Cooper Creek level reaching 6.1m and continuing to rise.
Water levels should exceed 6.5m today.
